MDG were appointed by Mott MacDonald to undertake an options appraisal design for the adaption of an existing flagship DEFRA office in Bristol. The purpose of the study was to adapt the current office layout by removing traditional workstations and incorporating areas to encourage individuals to work collaboratively.
Conversely, acoustically rated pods were also provided to allow staff to undertaken sensitive and personal conversations within the office floorplate to improve worker efficiently throughout the working day. MDG worked with DEFRA’s framework suppliers Senator to determine the best layout and specification of furniture for each of the internal spaces to create an environment suitable to compliment the client’s aspirations.
