Works are now complete on a two-phase refurbishment to Vertu’s BMW showroom in Sunderland. A major strip out of finishes, interior walls, escalators and ceilings left a bare shell into which was installed the latest BMW and MINI corporate identity and BMW’s latest Retail.Next design guide. BMW and MINI now share one sales environment under the new ‘one-showroom’ concept, offering a shared sales experience to both brand’s customers with a joint service department.
The showroom’s focus is on the customer experience with enhanced hospitality areas, sales and service lounges, with premium finishes throughout. A new lighting design brings warmth to customer lounges while also highlighting all vehicles on display, with additional feature lighting to BMW’s M-Power and Highlight Cars.
The works have also included an extension, enclosing an area beneath an existing balcony to introduce a purpose build workshop for sole use for BMW Motorrad motorbikes. This is to compliment the onsite Motorrad showroom. A new staircase connects the first floor Motorrad showroom with the BMW/MINI showroom below.
