MDG were appointed by Mott MacDonald to provide feasibility layouts for the provision of a new DEFRA department the OEP. The premises were to be located in Worcester within an existing recently refurbishment ground floor. The scope of works was to incorporate the requirements of the OEP as well as provide suitable welfare facilities and collaboration areas.
Due to efficiencies created within the internal spaces MDG also provided a training suite for local DEFRA events and conferences to negate the need for external travel and hire of premises elsewhere. It was considered that using this approach for this project it could be used as a blueprint for future DEFRA schemes to provide a significant commercial benefit for the client in the future.
MDG provided lead technical advisor services to the project throughout the detailed design and construction phases.
