The proposed extensions are of a modern idiom and have been designed to sit in front of the existing premises to provide a new attractive and contemporary ambience which reflects the proposed use. The two storey proposal effectively screens the existing building from view from the public frontage providing a prominent and contemporary addition to the streetscape.
An attractive and welcoming entrance lobby leads into an open waiting area that is accessed from a second welcoming entrance via ramps from the proposed car park. The proposed pharmacy at the south end of the building away from the main entrance is provided with separate access whilst remaining convenient for users of the Medical Centre. Further clinical/consultation rooms are provided at first floor together with a pharmacy store, ancillary office, library and boardroom facilities.
