MDG Architects was appointed to deliver the refurbishment of the new Halliwell Jones Kia showroom in Southport, supporting the launch of Halliwell Jones’ first Kia dealership. Located on Southport Road, Scarisbrick, Southport, the project represents a significant addition to the client’s established presence in the area and sits adjacent to the group’s existing BMW and MINI operations.
The scheme involved the transformation of the showroom into a contemporary retail environment aligned with Kia’s latest global concept. Publicly released project information describes the completed facility as a fully refurbished showroom designed to provide a modern, customer-focused setting that combines updated brand presentation with improved comfort and functionality.
The completed showroom includes a state-of-the-art sales area, together with dedicated parts and service facilities, enabling Halliwell Jones to offer a complete Kia sales and aftersales experience from the Southport site. The refurbishment was conceived to deliver a welcoming and efficient customer journey while supporting the operational requirements of a modern automotive retail environment.
This project forms part of Halliwell Jones’ wider investment in Southport. The business publicly states that it opened its first BMW showroom in the town more than 35 years ago, and the introduction of Kia marks a further step in the continued growth of the group’s regional network.
