MDG were appointed by Mott MacDonald to undertake an options feasibility into the provision of works in compliance with updated operational design guidance, provided by HMCTS. The options considered various levels of adjustment based upon a low, medium and high level of investment. These features included aspects covering the following;
- Wheelchair access
- Reconfiguration of courtrooms to improve circulation
- Works to improve sight lines with each court
The report assisted HMCTS in the decision making process to apply for suitable finance for whatever option was deemed most appropriate.
