MDG Architects have been appointed to assist with the refurbishment of grade II* listed Penn Hall to create a gateway for young persons with SEND (special educational needs and/or disabilities) to learn trait and skill in readiness to seek employment. The project is being funded by social events and a crowdfunding scheme.
The project will provide teaching facilities where animal husbandry, horticulture, cooking and serving, IT and other skills will be available. Areas of the site will be open to the public as it is the intention for the pupils to run the charity shop, tearoom and a small garden centre.
MDG Architects are humbled to assist Sedgwick College in working on this unique project alongside the Local Council and their Heritage team. This will ensure the listed asset will be protected and will return to meaningful use.
