MDG came up with the box house concept as a ‘glamping’ alternative that is aesthetically pleasing and easily transportable. This micro holiday home sleeps four people and includes a shower room and kitchen with a retractactable deck and canopy and as it’s classified under the same category as a caravan it doesn’t require planning permission.
Since the original concept was put forward alternative uses for the concept have been undertaken including a value engineered version to combat homelessness to double height modular units for more permanent residences.
