MDG Architects were delighted to attend the Grand Opening of the new WAGO Headquarters facility.
MDG Architects have been involved in this project since 2019, and to finally handover the facility and achieve this milestone has been hugely rewarding. This highly sustainable development has delivered over 63,000 sqft of offices, warehouse and distribution facilities located on the former Radio Rugby Houlton site, allowing the business to consolidate their UK operations under one roof.
This new HQ building is packed full of sustainability
features including solar PV panels, rainwater harvesting, dynamic solar shading,
EV charging, real-time energy monitoring, low carbon environmental controls, as
well as intelligent access control, which are all controlled and monitored by a
state-of-the-art WAGO BMS system.
Since completion, MDG Architects have been inundated with
positive comments from the staff, visitors and the UK and International WAGO
management teams, which we believe is the most rewarding part of project
completion.
This new Headquarters not only allows WAGO to streamline
their business operations, it also provides bespoke product exhibition areas,
training and conferencing facilities, flexible office and warehouse space, and excellent
hospitality and welfare facilities for both staff and visitors.
